I don’t know how this show almost slipped by me, but it did. Luckily, I found “My Cat From Hell” and recorded it on Animal Planet Saturday night. “My Cat From Hell” is one of the best shows on Animal Planet. It’s basically the Dog Whisperer, but for cats.
The show’s host, Jackson Galaxy, has appeared in several other cat-centric shows on Animal Planet. He is a cat behaviorist, according to the show’s website. His goal is to make a cat’s life and the life’s of the humans in the home better. He improves relationships and saves cats’ lives. Galaxy is not what you expect at all. He is a rock star by night, covered in tattoos. Hopefully, he’ll break a few cat people stereo types.
The first episode aired May 7 and more episodes are slated for Saturday’s at 8 p.m. Anyone with a cat or who is in a relationship with someone who has a cat, should watch this show.
While the show isn’t as fun as “Must Love Cats,” it has great cat behavior information and much like Cesar Millan, it shows that “bad” cats get that way in part because of their human companions. It also teaches people that you don’t have to dump cats that have behavior issues, they can also be fixed or at least worked on.
I have already set this series to record and will keep updating as the show continues. My only complaint, is that Animal Planet didn’t advertise the show at all. So, everyone, please check out this great show and keep it alive, you just might learn something, too.
